What a glorious way to kick off 2026! Our first rally of the year took us to Bush Inn, and with a LEGO theme in tow, fun was guaranteed from the very start.
The early crowd rolled in on Thursday, doing their part to keep the campsite warm. By Friday, the rest followed, one by one, until the campsite was full and buzzing. Catch-ups flowed easily as stories from the festive season were shared, tents and caravans went up, and – naturally – the beers started flowing too.
Friday – Burgers, Bush Pub & Shaky Hips
As the evening settled in, everyone gathered for registration, collecting their programmes and weekend goodies. The Bush Pub opened its doors, shooters were flowing, the vibes were vibing, and laughter echoed across the campsite.
Friday night’s dinner was a hit – delicious burgers prepared by our pro chefs. A huge thank-you to the team behind the grill; our tummies were full and very happy!
To round off registration, the marshals introduced a light-hearted game that got everyone moving. Armed with Post-it notes stuck in all sorts of creative places, participants had to shake them off – cue hip shaking, laughter, and some unexpectedly impressive moves. After all the excitement, everyone drifted off for a well-earned and restful night.
Saturday – LEGO Legends & Total Silence
Saturday rolled in gently, like a good cup of coffee on a cool morning. The sunrise was beautiful, kettles were boiling, and the communal breakfast was cooked to perfection.
With full tummies, the day’s activities began – and what fantastic games they were! Something a little different this time: testing skill, listening, and teamwork.
Part one challenged teams to build mini LEGO figurines, while part two stepped things up with intricate nano LEGO animals – tiny pieces requiring serious focus. What followed was a rare and magical moment: the entire campsite fell silent. No music. No chatter. Just intense concentration as the timed builds got underway.
Shortly after, the weather had other plans, delivering a solid downpour – thankfully, after the games. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing, socialising, and sheltering between bursts of rain.
As evening arrived, everyone gathered at the communal braai area, enjoying beautifully prepared pap & sauce alongside their own braai meat. With bellies full and spirits high, the night unfolded into a relaxed, laughter-filled evening among friends.
Sunday – Sunshine, Song & Chairman’s Tea
Sunday greeted us with warm sunshine – perfect timing to dry out tents before packing up. Coffee brewed as the sun rose, and we were treated to a special serenade by Ray, whose beautiful vocals set the tone for the morning.
Everyone then gathered for Chairman’s Tea, where the weekend was recapped and thanks were shared. The Chairman gave a heartfelt overview of the rally, including the number of caravans and tents, before the marshals took over with a wonderful selection of raffles.

Fines & Farewells
And then came the fines – always a highlight! Delivered enthusiastically by Re-Pete and Ray, they did not disappoint. The Miskruier made an appearance too, though it was missing an old favourite this time. The honour of the hat went to Pieter Snr.
Some fines were well deserved, some slightly questionable, and a few absolutely hilarious. Laughter carried us all the way through to the final goodbyes.
As always, farewells were bittersweet. Caravans, tents, and trailers packed up and rolled out, leaving behind footprints, laughter, and memories that will last until the next rally.
